Understanding BankGuider's Rate Averages

How We Collect Rate Data

The APR ranges displayed on BankGuider.com are compiled from the following sources:

  • Partner lenders — rates submitted directly or pulled via affiliate feeds, updated regularly
  • Publicly available disclosures — lender websites, Truth in Lending Act (TILA) disclosures, and regulatory filings
  • Third-party data providers — where applicable, licensed rate data from financial data aggregators

What Our Ranges Represent

We display APR ranges, not a single "average rate." A range such as 8.99% – 35.99% APR reflects:

  • The lowest rate available to the most creditworthy applicants (typically 720+ FICO, low DTI)
  • The highest rate available to applicants at the lower end of a lender's eligibility criteria
  • Rates shown are for illustrative and comparison purposes only

Your actual rate will depend on your credit score, income, loan term, loan amount, and the lender's individual underwriting criteria.

Update Frequency

Data Type Update Frequency
Partner lender rates Weekly or upon partner feed update
Third-party sourced rates Monthly
Editorial rate roundups Weekly

What These Rates Are NOT

  • Not a guaranteed offer or pre-approval
  • Not based on a hard or soft credit pull by BankGuider
  • Not a comprehensive survey of all lenders in the market

Compensation Disclosure

Some lenders featured on BankGuider pay for placement or traffic via our affiliate program. Compensation may influence which lenders appear and their position on comparison pages. However, it does not affect the APR ranges we display — those reflect lenders' actual published rates.
